What is a Designated Gwich'in Business?
A Registered Gwich’in Business means a Gwich’in business which has been designated by the Gwich’in Tribal Council as a Registered Gwich’in Business and which has satisfied the criteria for designation set for in section 9.0 of the Gwich’in Business Policy, eligible criteria includes:
- A minimum 51% ownership;
- Management or active involvement in the business;
- Local office in the GSA;
- Assets in the name of business;
- Ability to meet definition of Best Total Value
Does the Gwich'in Tribal Council have funding available for Registered Gwich'in Businesses?
No - Our office would refer incoming requests to existing agencies that administer these types of programs.
